Usain Bolt writing: Out of the blocks

Out of the blocks

It was the 2016 Olympic games in Rio and Usain Bolt was getting ready for his big race, the one hundred metre sprint his favourite and best avent. The morning before the race he went for a small jog to warm up and stretch his muscles. When it was time he walked to the athletics stadium. The screaming and yelling coming from the stadium was making him nervous. When they got there him started to warm up and stretch. It was now time for the start of the race. He went over to the starting blocks. He was going to start.

On your marks, get set, bang! The men explode out of the blocks and head towards the finish line. Usain bolt stumbles around but picks his paist back but he's at the back. He passes one and another, there's only 20 metres left. He guns it down the track and ends up first. The crowd goes wild as he celebrates his nearly lost title of the fastest sprinter in the world. But he has pulled an amazing race of and in 9.58 seconds a world breaking time.

Cameramen swarm around him and thousands of flashes go of and interviewer's hold their microphones to his mouth. He said what he needed to say and squeezed through the crowd and did his pose thing. The cameramen went away and Usain Bolt went over to the podium. After about ten minutes of waiting the announcer called the medal winning contestants up to the podium. When he got to Usain Bolt he jumped up on to his part  and the crowd cheered. He received the gold medal and after photos they jumped down and congratulated each other. And that was Usain Bolts last Olympic race.

15 minute writing about erupting volcano (it was hectic)

In homeroom we had 15 minutes to write a story about a photo from pobble365. I chose a picture were there was a village and a volcano was erupting behind it and there was lightning lashing across the sky. here is what I wrote. Enjoy!

Red hot lava and smoke filled the dark night sky, lightning lashed

out of the clouds. It was hectic, lava poured down the valley heading towards the village. In the village people were running around and screaming. They gathered there family and everything they could carry ran away from the lava. Lightning started to pound into the village. Houses were being destroyed right in front of the villagers eyes.

Lava started to stream into the village, the villagers were like headless chickens screaming and frantically running around. Then a man came zooming down the volcano in a jeep running away from the lava. When he got into the village he told everyone to run to the other side of the river and they'll be safe there. So then he ran inside his home grabbed everything he needed told his family to get on the jeep. The lava started to hit the west side of the village.

The man was just coming out of his home but then he got tripped up by a side table and got his foot stuck. He tried to get loose but his foot wasn’t budging. He called to his family and they then came running to him they all grabbed an arm or another person holding on. Then on the count of three they all pulled as hard as they could. The mans foot was nearly out and it came free.

They all hopped in the jeep and the man started the engine and then they had to run from the lava. The lava was creeping closer every second. They could see the river up ahead in the distance. They could also see people screaming and running to the river. They had no time to stop when they went passed someone they would grab them by the arm and fling them up onto the jeep. The jeep was nearly full when they came across a mother and her baby both crying on the side of the road.

They stopped to quickly pick them up. They were getting really close to the river now. But then, BUMP the hit a big rock and tipped the jeep. Everyone hopped out and headed for the river. They were nearly there but the lava was as well. They dove for the river and frantically leaped to the other side. They had made it. Yes! They had all made it.
